APS will visit the construction site a minimum of once a week
During the project, APS will visit the construction site a minimum of once a week. Amendments to the design or specialist issues may arise that require additional site visits.
Progress is closely monitored, with conversations and meetings recorded as minutes. All relevant parties present at the meeting are copied into the document, and any amendments or important instructions are issued to the contractor as a variation. Variations can often lead to changes in the contract sum; these will be itemised on the variation certificate with the approximate cost and the adjusted contract sum.
It is also APS’s role to monitor the works and assess whether the building contractor has carried out the work they are invoicing for. APS will carry out site visits associated with contractors’ invoices, usually on a monthly basis, to assess progress and issue interim payment certificates.
