As part of contract administration, APS Architectural Design can carry out site visits to assess the quality of the building contractor’s work.
Works on site will be closely checked to ensure that the correct materials are being used and that they are applied correctly. All works will be checked against approved plans to confirm that they comply with planning and Building Regulations approval.
During these inspections, the contractor will be made aware of any discrepancies or required amendments to the design, with the appropriate documentation issued to formally notify them where applicable. Site visits for inspection and the issuing of interim payment certificates will continue throughout the construction period.
The handover of a project at the end of the construction period is an important stage in the process and marks Practical Completion.
